Arrowrock Church of Christ, est. 1870, Williamsport Pike

Canaan AME Church, est. 1864, Ashwood Road. A former slave donated land to build this church. It was used by Presbyterians and Methodists. The church was firebombed in 1994.

Claiborne Chapel AME Church, est. 1875, Williamsport Pike. Named for its first pastor.

Dry Fork Church of Christ, est. 1850, Goodman Lane, Hampshire Pike

Flint Valley Primitive Baptist Church, est. 1875, Nashville Highway

Friendship Baptist Church, est. 1865. This church was firebombed in 1995.

Jones Chapel AME Church, est. 1870, Mt. Pleasant

Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, est. 1843. The first national Baptist church in Tennessee, its original seven members included Rev. Williamson, Dyer Johnson (father of educator John Johnson, and Rev. Edmund Kelley. It is located on East 8th Street and the original church served as an early school.

New Smyrna Cumberland Presbyterian Church, est. 1874, Beech St., Columbia

Pleasant Union Church, Southport Road, Hampshire. Organized by slaves on property of their owner, Griffin Cathey. Originally called Meeting House Church.
