The Maury County Colored Hospital was established in 1923 and remained in operation until Maury County Hospital first opened in 1954. Black patients were sent to the Colored Wing of Maury County Hospital. Today, only a Tennessee Historical Commission marker identifies the former hospital’s location at 506 E. 7th Street.
